Since its introduction as an all-new model for the 2008 model year, the Chevrolet Malibu has continued to earn praise from consumers, automotive critics and industry experts. Malibu was recently named a Best Buy by Consumers Digest for the second year in a row, and a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety for 2010. Thanks to a leaky United States patent office, we have what appears to be our first look at the redesigned 2012 Chevrolet Malibu. The Malibu will essentially be all-new for the 2012 model year, riding on a version of General Motors’ Epsilon II architecture.
Judging from the leaked images, the 2012 Malibu will retain many of the design cues of the current car, albeit with a fresher look. Thats an impressive turnaround from the dishwater-dull Malibus of recent years, considering that the NA COTY is chosen by a select group of hard-headed automotive journalists.”

 2008 Chevrolet Malibu

The original Malibu was discontinued in the early ’80s and was finally revived in 1997 as Chevrolet sought to once again give customers a competitive, value-packed midsize sedan for thousands less than the import competition.
